This Trademark Policy sets out how the trademarks, service marks, trade names and logos of Tapeout Labs, Inc., a Delaware corporation (“Tapeout Labs,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) may be used, and how we refer to the marks of others.

  1. Our marks

    Our marks include TAPEOUT, TAPEOUT LABS, the Tapeout Labs logo and any other marks or logos we designate from time to time (the “Tapeout Labs Marks”). They are the exclusive property of Tapeout Labs, and all goodwill from their use benefits Tapeout Labs. Nothing in this Policy grants any right in them except as stated below.

  2. Permitted uses

    You may use the Tapeout Labs Marks without asking us, provided you follow this Policy, to

    • refer truthfully and accurately to Tapeout Labs and our products and services, without suggesting sponsorship, endorsement or affiliation that doesn’t exist; and
    • report on, comment on or review Tapeout Labs in news, research and commentary.

    Use the marks in their unmodified form, and keep them visually distinct from surrounding content.

  3. Guidelines

    • Don’t alter, distort, animate or recolor the Tapeout Labs logo, or combine it with other logos, words or designs.
    • Don’t use the Tapeout Labs Marks in a way that is misleading, disparaging or suggests we endorse you or your products.
    • Don’t use the Tapeout Labs Marks, or anything confusingly similar, in your own company, product or service names, domain names or social media handles.
    • Don’t register, or help anyone register, any trademark, domain name or account that contains or resembles a Tapeout Labs Mark.
    • Don’t make or sell merchandise bearing the Tapeout Labs Marks.

    For any other use, including co‑marketing or partnership references, ask us first at legal@tapeoutlabs.com.

  4. Attribution

    Where practical, include this notice when you use the Tapeout Labs Marks. “Tapeout and Tapeout Labs are trademarks of Tapeout Labs, Inc. All other trademarks are the property of their respective owners.”

  5. Third‑party marks

    Our websites name and show the logos of electronic design automation, verification and development tools our software works with, including products of Synopsys, Cadence, Siemens, AMD, Altera and Accellera, and open‑source projects such as Verilator, Yosys, GTKWave and cocotb. These names and logos are trademarks of their respective owners. We use them only to identify the tools our software operates with. Their use doesn’t mean those owners sponsor, endorse or are affiliated with Tapeout Labs, or that we endorse them.

    If you own a mark shown on our websites and have a concern about how it appears, contact us at legal@tapeoutlabs.com and we’ll respond promptly.

  6. Enforcement

    We may take action against any use of the Tapeout Labs Marks that doesn’t follow this Policy or infringes our rights, and we may revoke permission to use them at any time. If you see a use you believe is unauthorized, please tell us at legal@tapeoutlabs.com.
